I'm busy simplifying my life. The cows, chickens, turkeys, hogs -- all gone now. Freezers are full of meat that should last about a year. Then, we're going vegetarian!
I'm buying bread half the time now, instead of making it twice a week. I'm still roasting my own coffee. We're still planning on cooking up sap into maple syrup this coming spring. We're keeping the bees. The gardens, orchard - all still there. It's just the animals: I can't do it anymore. And - I don't have to.
It's so liberating not to have to feed, water, fence, and pay attention to them. They were mooing a lot this past few months and it was getting annoying, but I made the decision to send them off back in December 2011. I knew when the next was empty this fall, I'd want the freedom to travel.
Bosky Dell Farm: We grow some of our own food, and do a lot of cooking for fun. We spend a lot of time trying to make the world better through our daily work. We also try to have fun and we love our family.
