Cleaning the barn - what a chore. I need to pull the truck in and fill the bed up with lots of junk to go straight to the dump. But, this is the perfect time of year to go through all the junk we've accumulated. In past years I've used some of the stuff and then reused it again - grain sacks become ground cover on the paths in the garden and plastic pots from the nursery are used to grow seedlings for next year's vegetable garden. But that takes some thoughtfulness in how to store and organize what would be trash for most people. Indeed, if it's in disorganized piles, spread around the barn, it's really trash to us too.

So this weekend's chore list is shaping up to be a barn cleaning, bread baking, bulb planting extravaganza. I honestly can't wait to dig in.
